Free Flying in the World of Warcraft region of Azeroth
This article presumes that the player has NOT purchased the full version of Cataclysm, but has all expansions up to and including Wrath of the Lich King.
I will now go on to explain how to get Free Flying in the World of Warcraft region of Azeroth. In order to do this, at least one of your Warcraft characters
must be level 60 or higher, and you must own one of the level 60 (or above) flying mounts. These can now be purchased in Orgrimar in the Valley of Wisdom.
The key to this working lies in a bug in the Cataclysm game that allows the player to take the 10 day free Cataclysm trial. The loading of the trial is
pretty quick from the Wow servers. Once you know that Cataclysm trial has been installed then you need to go to the Flight Master in the valley of Wisdom
and purchase the Flight Masters Licence, which at the time of writing costs 250 gold. As soon as you have made the purchase you should be able to ride
you flying mount in Azeroth.
After 10 days when the free trial ends, you will be left with the Flight Masters License, and the flying mount will continue to work in Azeroth.
It would be wise to do the same with all your lvl60+ characters since, when the trial ends, those without the Flight Masters Licence will not be
able to purchase it unless you buy the full version of Cataclysm. I say this because I never got the licence for two of my characters before the
trial ended and was gutted to find that I had missed the opportunity. You have been warned.
